Under the tutelage of Edge Soccer, all age levels have a place. The West Michigan Edge Premier Development League men’s team is the highest level of soccer in the state. Supporting each team is an Edge Reserve unit, training area players to develop the skills needed to advance to the higher levels. Training is available through our Edge Soccer Development Program, the highest level of player development in West Michigan, for all ages and levels of soccer ability.
We use the same professional coaches and training techniques in age-specific programs (age 4 and up) that foster proper technical development and a better understanding of the game’s overall tactics. Students will be put into a challenging environment that demands good training habits to help them on their club, school and recreation teams. All Edge programs encourage the youth soccer player to develop his full potential.
When you attend an Edge program, you may be selected to train with the PDL squad. Reserve teams will train year around, filling in the gaps between school and club teams, and compete against top age-level teams from across the nation. Reserve teams are designed for the area’s elite players, without interrupting high school or club involvement.
Players can prepare for the college level and beyond. Edge Soccer is a player development organization that will provide the opportunity to improve soccer skills and display those skills to college coaches. Players can continue to participate on local club and high school teams while taking part in Edge workouts. Training from the Edge will greatly enhance any player’s skill level, benefiting the individual and the teams they play on.
Edge Soccer is the highest level of professional development in the country. Participation with the Edge can lead to placement of individual players. We offer the opportunity to train like the pros, so you’ll be ready for that next level.
